Dave Marrs of HGTV's 'Fixer to Fabulous' has a distinct tattoo on his arm that many fans often wonder about. So what is its meaning?
Most Fixer to Fabulous fans have followed husband and wife duo Jenny and Dave Marrs since before they got their own HGTV home improvement show. They have always held their faith close to them and together, they take care of a house full of kids, including their adopted daughter, and their business, Marrs Developing. But what fans are really curious about when it comes to Dave is his tattoo and its meaning.

Fans have often spotted Hebrew letters on a tattoo located on the inside of Dave’s right arm and, every so often, there are questions about what it is exactly and what it means. Dave and Jenny don't seem like the type of people who seek out tattoo sleeves and, to be fair, Dave might just have the one tattoo anyway. But it still raises questions among fans.

So, what is the meaning behind Dave Marrs' tattoo?
Although Dave doesn’t speak much about his tattoo, Jenny took to Twitter in 2017 to explain that the writing is in Hebrew and has an important meaning for Dave, who, like Jenny, holds strong convictions with his Christian faith. She said the writing means "My Deliverer" from Psalm 18:2. It’s a passage that might have an even deeper meaning for Dave, depending on what his thoughts were when he had it done.
The full passage is: "The LORD is my rock, my fortress and my deliverer; my God is my rock, in whom I take refuge. He is my shield and the horn of my salvation, my stronghold. I call to the LORD, who is worthy of praise, and I am saved from my enemies. The cords of death entangled me; the torrents of destruction overwhelmed me."

Jenny and Dave Marrs' adoption story is important to them.
Another thing fans of the Marrs family and Fixer to Fabulous often talk about is Jenny and Dave’s adopted daughter, Sylvie. They now have five children, four of whom are their biological children. But, the couple told People, the emotion and love that went into the adoption process as they got to know Sylvie was similar to that of their "bio children."

Jenny explained that they saw a need to help kids without homes and that it was hard for them to commit to just one adoption when they saw other children in need. But, she relented, they recognized that they had done a good thing in helping their daughter, who is as much a part of their family as their four other children are.

How do you get on 'Fixer to Fabulous'?
Jenny and Dave have committed part of their lives to fixing up old homes near where they live in northwest Arkansas. And, if you are from the area, you can apply to be on the show. All you have to do is head to the casting website and fill out a detailed form about your home, your needs, and your family.
You also have to provide a handful of photos of your home and a family picture. There’s a space to write about your home renovation expectations as well as any other details you think producers should have. But be ready to agree to leaving your home in the Marrs’ hands for four to five weeks during the renovation process. With Jenny and Dave at the project’s helm, though, it just might all be worth it.
Watch Fixer to Fabulous on Tuesdays at 9 p.m. ET on HGTV.
