American rapper, Bankroll Freddie, has been named as one of the 35 individuals apprehended in Arkansas for their alleged involvement in a conspiracy to distribute large amounts of crack cocaine and cannabis.
According to TMZ, law enforcement authorities seized hundreds of thousands of dollars in jewelry and cash from the group of nearly thirty people who were detained on November 9th. Freddie and his East AR crew are accused of operating their purported activities from March 2021 to October 2022.
The rapper, born Freddie Gladney, also is facing charges related to firearms as part of the alleged drug trafficking scheme.
HotNewHipHop reports that during a search of his vehicle following a speeding stop, law enforcement officials discovered a Micro Draco AK-47 style pistol, a Polymer80 9 Glock clone handgun, and 21 pounds of marijuana.
Subsequently, a judge decided that the artist associated with Quality Control would be provided with “every incentive to comply with his release conditions,” considering his clean record. These conditions include maintaining a curfew, avoiding contact with felons, and abstaining from marijuana use and excessive drinking.
Earlier in April, Freddie was arrested on gun and drug charges when police stopped him for speeding in Arkansas. The vehicle search revealed over 21 pounds of marijuana, a Micro Draco AK-47 style pistol, and a Polymer 80 9 Glock clone handgun.
Following these events, the court concluded that despite possessing firearms, Bankroll Freddie has no felony convictions, no history of violence, and does not present a risk to the community.
