On the night of September 22nd, night 2 of the iHeartRadio Music Festival took place in Las Vegas and it kicked off with a collaboration no one will soon forget.

Justin Timberlake kicked off the night with his epic opening set, singing “Can’t Stop the Feeling,” “SexyBack,” “Filthy,” and more.

Timberlake is a legend himself but when he asked the crowd, “Can I do something special for you tonight?” the night got even better.

He continued with a speech that melted the hearts of the audience. “Ladies and gentlemen, I am a huge fan of this young man. He’s one of the coolest cats I’ve ever met, he’s very talented and he’s about to bless you. Please welcome- Shawn Mendes.”

That was the moment that time stopped. Timberlake, 37, and Mendes, 20, on stage together at one time singing one of Timberlake’s biggest hits. Dreams really do come true.

The duo did an acoustic version of “What Goes Around, Comes Around,” and Mendes’ voice almost matched Timberlake’s.

They ended the song with a line from “Say Something” (Timberlake’s duet with Chris Stapleton) and then Mendes exited the stage….for now.

Mendes took the stage again later in the night for his own set, including “Stitches,” “In My Blood,” and other hits.

Timberlake also met up again with the Selfie Kid backstage from this year’s Super Bowl Halftime show.

Fans could watch the epic collaboration and many other performances live on cwtv.com.

If you missed the live stream, do not worry. The iHeartRadio Music Festival will be on October 7th and 8th from 8 pm to 10 pm on the CW.

We may never fully recover from this epic duet. Mendes’ caption pretty much sums it all up.
