You know, it is crazy to think that people of all genders who have loved one another have not always had the chance to do so, legally. As the world evolves and becomes more progressive, you cannot help but smile for the people who get to experience the best aspects of that. This weekend, television personalities Nate Berkus and Jeremiah Brent got married at the New York Public Library. That is one small step for love, one giant step for the loving of mankind.
So why the New York Public Library? Truth is, I have no idea. But I do know they are the first same sex couple in history to wed there. So perhaps there is your reason. Not just to cement their love, but to make history. The power couple had been engaged since last year, and happily tied the knot this past weekend with many friends and guests standing witness. Just think about all the people who went to the library that day and walked away knowing they just a part of history. Love is blind, and quite powerful. We are glad to see more and more of the world accepting that everyday.
So big congrats to Nate Berkus and his husband. Jeremiah Brent. I get the library thing now. Good love is like a good book. It will last forever. Well, I just made that up, actually. But it sounds like a touching way to end this article, so it stays.
