We have another Leah McFall track, after she accidentally dropped “Marriage” on the wrong date. This time around, there has been no mistakes as she released “Freckles”. This is another track that we can’t wait to hear live, Leah McFall is certainly on form lately.
Leah McFall is best known for being on The Voice UK season two under will.i.am’s team, where she became the runner-up, after Andrea Begley. She had amazing success on the show, with her performances ranking highly on the UK charts. After the show, she released her debut single “Home” which featured will.i.am and had planned to release a debut album, but it got cancelled. Since then, she’s been releasing music independently which saw her drop singles “Wolf Den” and “Happy Human” as well as a unique version of the Christmas song “Silent Night“, leading up to her Ink EP. She then, independently, launched her INK Tour around the UK, where her shows in Manchester and Birmingham were sold out. She also appeared in an episode of Stage School being a guest mentor in a one-off class. Now, she’s focusing on her yet-to-be-named second EP, which will contain the singles “Somber”, “White X”, “Marriage” as well as this new one that she has released, “Freckles”. The EP is expected to arrive before her 2019 White X Tour in April, where she’ll perform in Manchester, Birmingham, and London – tickets can be bought from her official site.
This new song was released on 2 April 2019, which is exactly a week before her tour begins, which leaves many fans questioning whether the new EP will drop in time – maybe we’ll have a surprise release on the same day that her three-date tour starts. We’ll have to wait and see.
Listen To Leah McFall’s New Single “Freckles” Here:
Taking us on a sensual hypnotic journey, “Freckles”, has a beaty backing track that really compliments Leah McFall’s beautiful vocals. Her falsetto is on point throughout this track whilst the chorus brings a whole new real side to her. It has an R&B style infused within the track, giving us a catchy hook that is bound to sound electric on stage in the next few days. The lyrics paint a confident story with Leah McFall sending out empowerment vibes to her fan base. It’s certainly one of our favourites from Leah McFall, to date, and we’ll be singing it loud and proud when we see her live next week.
“Freckles” is available to download and stream right now. We expect her EP to drop any day now, as she did mention that it’ll be out before her tour, although we could be wrong. Her tour starts on Wednesday.
