Counting On star Josiah Duggar married Lauren Swanson in June 2018, and the couple is expecting their first child – a baby girl who is due this fall. They appear to be a typical, young Duggar couple who is following in the footsteps of the conservative, baby-loving Jim Bob and Michelle. But, an insider says that fans should “keep an eye on Josiah” because he isn’t who he appears to be.

Jinger is by far the most well-known rebel in the family. But, sources close to the large brood claim that Josiah is the one who has clashed with his parents more than any other Duggar sibling. However, he has managed to keep his rebellion pretty much under wraps.

Josiah was the first – and so far only – member of the family to end a courtship with a breakup instead of an engagement. Back in 2015, Josiah courted Marjorie Jackson, but just a few short months after going public, they ended things without explanation.

Some believe Marjorie was trying to get her fifteen minutes of fame by dating Josiah, which caused him to call things off, while others are sure that it was Marjorie who ended things when Josh Duggar’s sex scandals broke.

According to The Hollywood Gossip, even though Josiah is currently a Duggar brand ambassador for marrying young, having kids, and living a conservative religion-filled life in the midwest, he will be the next kid in the family to “break out” and rebel against his parents, just like big sister Jinger.

“He’s not mentally stable. Something is gonna crack soon, mark my words,” says the source. “Josiah has always been a ninety mile an hour kid. When he posted on Facebook under the name of Matthew that should’ve told you something.”

Josiah was one of the few Duggar kids to be on social media before getting engaged, and the insider says that the 22-year-old used to have a Facebook account under the name “Matthew,” which was filled with secular posts.

However, once Jim Bob found out he made Josiah delete the account and then came up with a plan for Josiah to get married right away.

“It is possible that the marriage was a set up between [Lauren’s father] D. Wayne Swanson and Jim Bob,” says the insider.

Chances are fans will never know the real truth about Josiah’s relationship with Jim Bob. But, it appears that there is definitely some tension.
