Gigi Hadid Is Officially Back To Modeling After Maternity Leave But Says Motherhood Is Still A Jo

June 2024 · 2 minute read

After welcoming a baby girl with former One Direction member, Zayn Malik, Gigi Hadid is back to work! This comes after about two months of maternity leave and the supermodel admitted that motherhood is still ‘a job like no other!’

That’s right! Gigi Hadid is officially back to work following two months of just being with her baby girl.

But since being a mom is not easy at all, especially when it comes to newborns, did those eight weeks away from modelling even count as time off?

Gigi took to her IG Stories to inform her fans that she was back ‘in the office,’ making her return to the modelling world official!

During her pregnancy and beyond, Gigi started doing much more work behind the scenes in order to keep her privacy while rocking that growing baby bump.

For instance, her latest project was being a guest creative director and editor for V Magazine.

Gigi definitely enjoyed her pregnancy away from public view, previously saying that: ‘I just am not rushed to do it, and feel like right now I want to just experience it, and I write in my journal quite a lot, and just do not want to worry about just waking up every day of my pregnancy and worry about having to like look cute or post something.’

Since she welcomed her and Zayn’s baby girl in September, she’s started to share more and more but fans are still waiting to see the infant’s face or even learn her name!

An insider previously dished via E! News that ‘Gigi wants the most privacy for their baby girl and she wants to be able to raise her privately.’

This is also why she, Zayn and the infant have been staying with her mom in Pennsylvania, where they feel more ‘peaceful.’

Obviously, the new grandma has loved every second of it too!

Speaking of, Yolanda Hadid gushed, back in October, over the baby, writing in a post: ‘My heart’s expanding with so much love and joy for this little baby, she is an angel sent to us from above….. Thank you Mommy and Daddy for making me an Oma, I love every minute of it.’
